This Local Operating Panel (LOP) is designed for the precise monitoring and protection of motor-driven chemical agitators in a water treatment environment. It features a robust stainless steel enclosure and high-quality industrial components to ensure durability against corrosive chemical environments.
1. Key Components & Features
A. Power Monitoring (Schneider Electric EasyLogic™ DM6X00)
The panel is equipped with two Schneider Electric DM6X00 series digital meters.
Function: Provides real-time monitoring of Line-to-Line Voltage ($V_{LL}$) across phases L1, L2, and L3.
Observation: The meters show consistent voltage levels (e.g., 408V - 420V), essential for ensuring the health of the 3-phase power supply to the agitator motors.
B. Motor Protection (LS Electric EOCR - DMPi)
For advanced motor safety, the panel utilizes LS Electric Digital Motor Protection Relays (EOCR).
Real-time Amperage: The digital displays provide live current readings (e.g., 1.56A and 0.87A as seen in the status photos).
Protection Suites: Includes protection against Overcurrent, Undercurrent, Phase Loss, Phase Reversal, and Stall/Locked Rotor conditions.
Interface: Features a rugged keypad for setting trip thresholds and a "Test/Reset" button for maintenance.
C. Operator Interface (Control & Indicators)
The panel provides a mirrored interface for both the Alum Agitator and the Lime Agitator:
RUN (Green): Illuminated push-button/indicator to start the motor and signal active operation.
STOP (Red): Standard stop control for manual shutdown.
FAULT RESET (Yellow): Used to clear the EOCR trip memory after a fault has been addressed.
LAMP TEST (Red/Manual): A dedicated button to verify the integrity of all indicator bulbs simultaneously.

2. Construction Details
Enclosure: Industrial-grade Stainless Steel (SS) with a polished finish, providing superior resistance to the humidity and chemical vapors typically found at WASA facilities.
Viewing Window: A large, gasket-sealed transparent viewing window allows operators to monitor all digital readings and statuses without opening the door, maintaining the NEMA/IP rating of the internal components.
Labeling: Clear, white-on-black engraved phenolic tags for component identification (Alum Agitator LOP-405A and Lime Agitator LOP-405B).
3. Application Summary
This panel serves as the primary localized interface for WASA operators to:
Monitor electrical health and load consumption of chemical agitators.
Protect expensive motor assets from electrical irregularities using microprocessor-based relays.
Control the mixing process of Alum and Lime, which are critical for the coagulation and pH adjustment phases of water treatment.
